H-A-L-L-E-L-U-J-A-H. We have a moving date!!! Yesterday, Miller and I learned that our interview with the board of our apartment building is Wednesday, February 9th. So we will be loading the U-Haul and driving 963 miles on Monday morning, unless the “Blizzard of 2011″ postpones our trip. Fingers crossed that the interview goes well, or my next post will be titled “Homeless in the City.” We have chosen to think positive and to ignore the thought of that possible outcome for now! New York City here we come!!!

We have been overwhelmed and touched the past few weeks by everyone around us being so thoughtful and generous as we go through this huge transition. People have happily given us so much of their time, resources, labor, delicious meals, words of encouragement, and prayers. You have all inspired me to pass that generosity on to others in any way that I can…even the smallest things mean so much. On Sunday, our pastor said something that kind of puts things in perspective. He said, “There are two types of people: givers and takers. The takers…they eat well, but the givers…they SLEEP well.” THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU to all of you who have shown so much kindness to us during this time…I know you will all be sleeping well tonight.
