SNOW!!! I don’t know why I was so surprised when it started snowing yesterday…we do live in New York. I think I still have that Alabama mindset that when the forecast says snow, it typically means no snow. Clearly, not the case here. While the snow was fun for a minute, it was a reminder that it is going to be one longggg, cold winter! A few photos from the week…

I’m really sad we waited til the weather got snowy to discover the Kelvin Slush Truck. We tried the Arnold Palmer flavor and it was AWESOME!!!

I am so excited about all of the places we have discovered already, and will be discovering in the future, thanks to the ALA to NYC interviews. My friend Ruth mentioned the wine and cheese cafe Casellula in her interview, so Miller and I had a date there Friday night. The cheese pairings were really incredible, and the staff is sooo helpful. I highly recommend this spot!!!

OMG….and the pumpkin pie ice cream sandwiches with bourbon caramel.

Mulled cider at Trestle on Tenth. I am so thankful this restaurant is on our street because I know we will be regulars there during the winter. It is the perfect comfort drink!

One of our favorite things to do is walk around and look at all of the beautiful buildings and architecture in the city…this is one of our favorite buildings in Soho.

Unfortunately, we are still doing no bread for 30 days, except for on Saturdays, so I looked forward to Saturday morning croissants the entire week! It is amazing how much more I really appreciate bread now…Anyway, we went to Caffe Falai in Soho for breakfast on Saturday, and they have the best croissants I have tried in New York so far! I’m not going to be able to look at this picture all week or I might cave on my commitment…

This picture is so bad, taken of ourselves in the mirror…but it’s the only one I have of batman and catwoman together! Of course I will be wearing this cat tee long after Halloween. And the furry gloves with the long fingernails are the perfect back scratchers!
