That is the question. I have been thinking about these Charlotte Olympia shoes (the black pair) since I saw them on Alexa Chung’s feet months ago, and I finally found them for sale online. But a pair of kitty shoes doesn’t seem too practical. But then they kind of are practical because they are black flats- that I will wear EVERY day- and probably really comfortable. I could justify purchasing these all day long. They are way, way out of my budget, but I know I will smile every time I look down at my feet. Yep, something as simple as a pair of shoes really can bring me some joy! I can’t decide if I’m crazy or if I should just bite the bullet and buy a pair…Someone please decide for me!

Here’s the thing…If you find yourself pining away, lusting, dreaming over an item for months–even if it’s something that technically falls under a “trend item”– you need to buy it. Because it is a lasting item for you that your heart, mind, body, soul, INNATE STYLE is telling you “I need this; I want this; I really will love it forever.”
True story–four years ago I had a similar boot dilemma. I saw a pair of outrageously expensive sky high booties with fringe and studs and I DIED. I literally dreamed about them for two weeks. When I thought about them my heart would race. So I went back to the store, and I thought to myself, if they’re on sale I will buy them. They were half off and still really expensive. But it was a sign. And over four years later I still wear them ALL THE TIME. Even though fringe and studs are/were trends for most, those boots are a lifetime piece for me. And I will never forget the story behind them either!
Buy the shoes. They will become one of your classics. Remember to knock the door down, J! Even with little kittehs on your feet.
To add to my last comment, they are totally out of my budget aswell! But hey it just means not buying much else for a month and they are going to be worth it, where else are you going to find a pair of flats this good.
