I love going through different looks from the runway and then seeing them interpreted on the streets. One trend I noticed after this last month of fashion shows is that skirts are getting longer and shorts are getting shorter. I am not going to go into shorts right now because it’s not exactly the weather for that, but I do want to highlight the skirt length that has been showing up everywhere…hems are hitting at the knee, below the knee, and calf length. Obviously any length goes, but a longer hem is what’s most current and of the moment.

This longer length doesn’t mean you have to go totally conservative. I love it paired with graphic and slouchy solid tees, tough booties, shrunken sweaters and jackets, lace tops, leather, oversize sweaters and sweat shirts, or you can could always take a more ladylike or office appropriate approach and pair with pointy -toe shoes and a cardigan. Also, tucking in a top and adding a belt creates an extremely flattering and feminine shape.
